Happy Holidays!

This is a very important time of year here at the Domestic Violence Resource Center. Thanks to your support, we have the privilege of making the holidays special in so many ways for our clients.

Some holiday offerings include personal festive gifts and holiday meal kits to all of the individuals/families receiving services through our residential program, new children’s pajamas generously provided by Project Sweet Dreams, handmade toys donated by the Nevada Woodchucks, and a jolly visit from Mr. Smitty Claus and his wife Mrs. Claus, who have brought holiday cheer to our clients for more than a decade.

Sadly, domestic violence doesn’t take a holiday. But fortunately, Domestic Violence Resource Center staff support victim-survivors and their children everyday, every step of the way.

One important healing component for survivors is their access to activities that create a sense of normalcy in their lives such as decorating the Christmas tree, selecting presents for their loved ones, and cooking holiday feasts.

Each year your gifts help us continue to provide programs and services that meet the basic needs of clients, as well as help them develop the skills to thrive as they plan for the futures they always dreamed of. This year is no different, we hope that you will consider making a monetary donation to help us continue our work. Your contributions may help to purchase gas for family outings, provide support for our financial literacy program, childcare assistance, and so much more.
