Today is #GivingTuesday!

The Domestic Violence Resource Center is thankful to our supporters who pledge their support to help reduce gender violence not only today but every day.

Please consider making a monetary donation that will help sustain our capacity to serve victim-survivors 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

DONATE TODAY!

As part of our community, we hope that you might take a few minutes to reflect on why giving matters to you, share your story about why you support the Domestic Violence Resource Center.

There’s no time like the present! Submit your 1-2 minute video which we will feature on social media during our 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence Campaign (November 25-December 10) so we can help celebrate how and why you give back!

Today is Day 6 of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence Campaign and we are featuring a survivor story. Donna Thomas’s performance of A Good Man was recorded during our recent October 2021 event. Donna brought to life her experience surviving two separate and life-changing experiences with domestic violence. In addition, Donna’s experience with improvisational theater helped her to heal by telling her story of abuse. Storytelling can be an empowering part of the healing process.
Donna Thomas is a storyteller at heart, a comedian, a playwright, and a published author.
Unfortunately, stories like Donna’s are not out of the ordinary, which is why we continue our investment in our life-saving supportive services for domestic violence victims and their families. This #GivingTuesday we encourage you to support this community issue so that individuals continue to have access to free, bilingual comprehensive domestic violence resources today and in the future.

Those who are interested in joining the Domestic Violence Resource Center’s #GivingTuesday initiative can donate by visiting our website at www.DomesticViolenceResourceCenter.org or our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/DVResourceCenter/

Sincerely and with much gratitude,

Judi Howell
