| Most recently our Board has been actively involved in managing a search process to hire a new Executive Director and I’m pleased to announce that they’ve hired Judi Howell to take on the Executive Director role. Judi comes to the Domestic Violence Resource Center from Colorado where she had an impressive career in business operations in the health care realm. Judi has worked with school based wellness centers and the Ryan White Early Intervention Program. She also has marketing, special events and capital campaign experience. Judi will join the Domestic Violence Resource Center staff on Monday, October 4, 2021.
I hope you’ll find an opportunity to meet Judi over the course of the next several months. One easy way to meet her is just around the corner. Please consider joining Judi, our Board and our staff at the organization’s annual fundraising event coming up on Thursday, October 21. The evening will feature Donna Thomas, creator, and star of the autobiographical work, From Southern Belle to Mrs. Cartel. Domestic violence has been a common theme in Donna’s life, she speaks passionately (with a side of humor!) about her experiences, the importance of perseverance, and how she overcame extreme circumstances. |
